13th July 2010 Project : Child Adoption at Nalanda High School

Good fellowship enjoyed between 9.30 - 10.00

President Ashok called the meeting to order and the National Anthem was sung. Pres Ashok welcomed the members of both clubs and guests. Inner Wheel President gave the opening remarks. Then Shri Nagar, founder of the school gave details of the school & thanked the clubs for active involvement. PP Rajendrabhai then gave his response. Then the proceedings were handed over to Director Harish. This year members of both the clubs and other well wishers have individually adopted 36 children (there is no financial burden on the club). Kudos to them. this entails paying the total cost of education for the whole year which comes to Rs 3400. Harish emphasised the need to continue to adopt the same child every year, to also counsel the child during the year and to continue to support the child for future higher studies. Each sponsored child was wishes with a flower by the sponsorer.

IPP Manish handed over to the president of the Interact Club of the school the Presidential Citation for 2009-10 received by the club from RI President.

After the vote of thank by Secretary Mudrak, the Pres adjourned the meeting.
