Rotary club of borivli FELICITATION OF SSC ACHIEVER’S ROTARIAN’S CHILDREN AND CHILDREN OF OUR ADOPTED SCHOOLS

GUEST SPEAKER : MRS DHANALAXMI KESARKAR, PRINCIPAL OF R.C.PATEL SCHOOL, BORIVLI.

Sergeant Jayesh requested President Ashok to start the meeting and collared him. The meeting was called to order and the National Anthem was sung.Pres Ashok welcomed the members and guests and requested IW Past President Madhvibhabhi to escort the chief guest Mrs Dhanalaxmi Kesarkar to the dias.He also recognized Principal of A.D.Pawar School Mr Solarkar who was present in the meeting. The Rotary formalities followed- birthdays and anniversaries.

Details of projects done and events –
The details of Kurze Ashramshala project was given and the donors were thanked. Pres Ashok informed that PRIP and TRF Trustee Chair Carl Wilhelm Stenhammer was impressed by his visit to our Eye Bank and his visit has also helped in creating more awareness of our eye bank in the district.
Rtn Ashish appraised the meeting of the joy and excitement of the students who underwent the vocational training course in mehendi.
Rtn Chetan Joshi expressed in no uncertain terms the fun, frolic and fellowship at the club picnic.
PP Nitin explained the significance of the FCRA registration received by our trust. He and was heartily thanked for the unfailing persuit of this registration for the last 2 years.

Pres Ashok thanked the sponsors of August issue of Kanhery – Rtns Rajendra and Hemang, Mr Hemant N. shah and Manish.N. Shah, Mrs Vinoda Shetty & Mrs Shashikala Shetty and requested members to come forward to sponsor future issues.
Pres Ashok then requested IW PP Sonal Chandarana to conduct the FELICITATION OF SSC & HSC ACHIEVER’S ROTARIAN’S CHILDREN AND CHILDREN OF OUR ADOPTED SCHOOLS A.D.Pawar Achool, Vidya Vikas School and Nalanda English High School. The children were presented a memento and a rose at the hands of Mrs Dhanalaxmi Kesarkar and Madhvibhabhi. The joy on their face said it all.
Rtn Rajul then introduced the chief guest who gave a short but wonderful speech on the development of the students.
Ms Rupal Ajmera, stylist and Groomer, who had accompanied the chief guest then interacted with the children and emphasized the need for self confidence and communication.
Prospective Member Chirag Shah was welcomed to the meeting.
Pres Ashok then informed the meeting that at the Board Meeting held earlier in the day name of PP and District Secretary Rtn Prafull Sharma was passed as our club’s suggestion by the District Nominating Committee for nomination as District Governor for Rotary Year 2013-14. After discussion the following resolution was passed
“Resolved by Rotary Club of Borivli at its regular meeting held at Granville Hotel, Borivli (West), Mumbai 400092 on 03.09.2010 at 2000 hours that the name of Rtn Prafull Sharma of Rotary Club of Borivli be and is hereby suggested for consideration by the District Nominating Committee for nomination as District Governor for the Rotary Year 2013-14”
Pres Ashok also informed the meeting that at the Board Meeting held earlier in the day name of PP Chetan Desai was proposed as GSE team leader from our club to led the GSE Team members of District 3140 to Austria in may 2011. The meeting unanimously passed the same.
Secretary Mudrak gave the secretarial announcements and PP Rtn Nitin proposed a hearty vote of thanks. The meeting was then adjourned.

Pl be there for the installation ceremony of our new Interactor Club of Borivli President Sashmi Pandya and her team on Sunday, the 5th Sept at 5.00 pm at MCF Sports complex. Your presence on Monday 6th Sept at 1.30 pm at Medical Check-up Camp at Anand Rao Pawar School, Vazira naka, Borivli (west) will also give you a further insight in the world of Rotary.
