The
installation was held on 23rd
June 2010 at the spacious and
comfortable assembly hall of
St. Francis Management Institute,
Borivli in the presence of about 75
Rotarians, Past District Governors
Shrirang Prabhu & Dr. Bharat Pandya,
District Dignitaries, Co-Presidents,
Past Presidents, Ann’s, Inner Wheel
members, Rotractors, Interactors, New
Members, Prospective Members and invited
guests (total guests 195)
DGE Dr. Jayant Kulkarni, President Manish Gyani, PE Ashok Shetty, AG. Manhar Mandaliya, GC . Girish Waingankar, Sec. Harish Chandarana, Incoming Sec. Mudrak Lalaji were on the dais.
The meeting started with our National Anthem, followed by lighting of the lamp and invocation dance by baby Aastha Shetty to the tune of religious verses.
President Manish gave an account of the activities during the past year. The first community based Interact Club sponsored by our club was then presented with its charter.
The installation of President Ashok and his team was followed by Ashok unveiling his plans for Rotary year 2010-11
Our MLA Hon.Gopal Shetty was specially present and blessed Ashok and the new team and felicitated the past presidents of RC Borivli.
Recognition of New Paul Harris Society member Dr. Hitesh Chedda and new PHFs, Presentation of Four Avenues of Service Award to CP Vinay Vyas, Induction of New Members and Felicitation of IPP, Secretary and Treasurer were the other highlights of the evening.
DGE Dr.
Jayant applauded the event and happy
with the plans for the year 2010-11.
However, expressed his expectation from
STAR club of Dist 3140 RC Borivli of
$250 per capita contributions to TRF.
The
meeting ended with secretarial
announcement and a vote of thanks by PE
Ajay Gandhi.
Installation Ceremony was ably compared
by Ann. Vidyottama Sharma.
A sumptuous and delicious pure vegetarian dinner was served and was liked by one and all.
The event was appreciated by all present. We missed all those we could not make it.
