On Sunday 5th Feb a whole day interactive workshop, "PRATHAM - the
first step" was held at St. Francis Institute, Borivli for the team
2012-13.
The workshop was inaugurated by PDG Shrirang Prabhu. His inaugural
speech was very motivating. He mainly emphasized on importance
of team and 8 steps
of team building.
We were also fortunate to have the able guidance of AG designate
Yusuf Lanewala, who was present throughout the program.
The workshop was conducted by well qualified and renowned speaker
Mr. Bihag Lalaji. He conducted the workshop in very lucid manner
with lot of exercises which can help in goal setting, planning their
milestones and finally actions to be taken to achieve the desired
goal.
Entire group was divided in 5 teams namely Kuber (TRF), Seva
(Community Service), Sambandh (PR and Membership Development),
Roshni (Eye Bank) and Protsahan (Vocational Service) to focus on
respective area. All teams included two Past Presidents, Director
designate and one/two members.
The
workshop began with SMART strategy ie setting a specific goal and
proceeded with planning, team
building, role setting, delegation, action,
risk assessments, and finally achieve the success of it.
It was totally different learning experience for all participants.
We are unaware of potential inside us and how to explore it, given
an opportunity. During different exercises, we could witness
innovative ideas and real team work.
Many new projects are planned and new goals are set by different
teams. We wish this session will help all present there to plan
their goal and achieve new height for Rotary Club of Borivli.
