	Adoption of Babhai Municipal School RC Borivli has adopted Babhai Municipal School. Books, Bag, raincoats, playing equipments are distributed to the needy students every year. Our Inner Wheel club members are running Bal Sanskaar Kendra at this school. Adoption of Mentally Retarded Children’s’ School Though run by BMC it needed additional support from an NGO like us. We have adopted mentally challenged children's school at Bajaj Municipal School, Kandivli (W), Mumbai. We provide trainers and teachers for training the mentally challenged children different skills. We assist these children in participating in the district level sports competition etc. Adoption of Ashramshala The condition of this school was in a bad shape. The children were not having books in time during the term. There were no playing equipments or TV. The school being situated on a hilly area of Jawhar Taluka was a remote place. We have adopted this Ashramshala at tribal village Sakhre near Jawhar Taluka. This Ashramshala is a boarding small school. The class rooms are converted in to boarding rooms at night. The tribal children from nearby villages study there and stay there. We are supplying them note books, playing equipments, raincoats, slippers, T.V. etc. Free Legal Aid Center Started in 1995, the Rotary Free Legal Aid Center was inaugurated by the Judges of the Family Court. This is the first free Legal Aid Center in Dist. 3140 and in Borivli. Free Legal guidance and counseling on various issues is provided every Saturday between 4.00 to 6.00 pm at Vamanshram Hall, Haridas Nagar, Borivli(West) by prominent lawyer Rtn Sumedha Rao. Adopted Pediatric Ward of Bhagwati Municipal Hospital A Centennial Project of Rotary Club of Borivli. We have adopted the entire pediatric ward of Bhagwati Municipal Hospital. We have donated medical equipments like, Incubators (warmers), Pulse Oximeter, Double Photo therapy machine, T.V. Air conditioners to the NICU. We have also beautified the ward with wall papers. We intend to give the much needed Ventilator (Artificial Respirator). Before adoption there were six incubators and five were out of order, which were not sufficient to cater the load at the hospital. The other medical equipments though needed badly, they were not procured by the department for the paucity of funds. With the adoption of the ward by Rotary Club of Borivli, the need of the ward is looked into and is fulfilled. This will be an ongoing project. Pulse Polio immunization One of the main projects of the Rotary International. Rotary club of Borivli assists on National Immunization Days in creating awareness of the pulse polio drive to achieve the goal of the Rotary International in removing the polio disease from the mother earth by its centennial year i.e. 2005. Borivli Railway station beautification We have taken up beautification of the Borivli railway station. We donated and fixed benches for sitting, dustbins, digital clock, railway timetable and sign boards etc. Computer Donation Donated computers & other teaching aids to Nalanda English School. This school at Borivli (E), is English medium school catering mostly to the lower middle class students from nearby area and slum. We have donated computers and helped starting computer classes for the student’s education. We have also donated various other teaching aids to this school. Our members visit this school regularly and sponsor morning breakfast for the students. Our members also sponsor needy students for education. Free Polio Corrective Surgeries. We have carried out almost 250 successful polio corrective surgeries free of charge and given a new life to the polio affected patients. Free Cataract operations Free Cataract operations for the poor villagers. We visit nearby tribal village Girale, Taluka Safale for eye check up camp. The needy poor villagers are selected and operated upon for a free cataract surgeries with lenses. Organizing Medical Check Up Camp in slums. We regularly organize medical check up camps and eye check up camp in different slum areas of Borivli. Organizing Clean Society Contest. We organize this contest every year amongst the residential society of Borivli to develop a sense of responsibility and cleanliness. A rotating trophy is awarded to the winner in the vocational awards distribution function. Providing Public Telephone Booth for the handicapped at various places in Borivli. Providing Drinking water fountain at Babhai Naka. Interschool Quiz & Debate Competition. Every year for last 10 years the Rotary Club of Borivli is organizing Inter School Quiz & Debate Competition for students of std. VIII & IX from about 20 schools of Borivli area. Organizing Seminar on Overseas Education. We are regularly organizing this seminar on Overseas Education for the benefit of all the students intending to go abroad for further studies either in U.K, U.S. or AUSTRALIA. The seminar is addressed by the reputed speakers and Educational Counselors from USEFI, British Council and Idp Education Australia. The seminar is free. Organizing Entrepreneurship Development Seminar. This Program is to spread the awareness about Entrepreneurship. The Eminent Speakers from SISI, Financial Institution, Experience Of A Successful Entrepreneur And The Experts on the subject address the seminar. During the seminar Questionnaire is given to all students and after scrutinizing the Questionnaires a second and detail program will be conducted for the benefits of the students who are interested and sincere in becoming an Entrepreneur and establishing their own set up.
