Project - Eye Donation Awareness Rally
The Rotary Club of Borivli Eye Bank
and Processing Center has completed 5 year and has
been instrumental in providing eyesight to 584
persons.
The flagship project of Rotary Club
of Borivli is Eye Bank. To
create awareness about eye donation among the public
and make their eyes immortal, a huge public rally
was held on 15th August.
All started gathering from 9:30am onwards and it
started from Veer Savarkar Udyan at 10 am. And the
route taken was L.T.Road, Maharashtra Nagar,
Chandavarkar Road, Eksar Road, Yogi Nagar, Link
Road, Vazira, L.T.road and back to Veer Savarkar
Udyan at around 12 noon.
The rally was well attended by 100 participants
including
- Rotarians &
their family members
- The members
of Inner Wheel Club of Borivli
- Rotaractors
- Interactors
- Students of
St Francis Institute of Management.
- 4 Rotary
Youth Exchange Students from France, Germany, Brazil
and Mexico.
The enthusiastic participants chanted various
slogans, distributed awareness pamphlets and
stickers and pledge cards.
Kudos to chairman of eye donation awareness
committee PP Manish Gyani for a wonderful project.
