The British Broadcasting
Corporation (BBC) is a
British public service broadcasting corporation
headquartered in London, United Kingdom. It
is the largest broadcaster in the world by number of employees, with about
23,000 staff. The reliability of the news is well known and trusted by most
of us.
During the Radio era and even today, we all know the news broadcasted by BBC
are more authentic and immediate. Who else, other than Mr. Bhartendu Vimal,
who worked for BBC - Hindi news service for 25 years, can be the better
person to share his experience with BBC. He was there in our weekly club
meeting on 5th October, 2012. His command on Hindi and Sanskrit is
remarkable to make him popular broadcaster worldwide. He informed the house
that, during his peak time he used to get more than 4 Cr. listener which is
an achievement. The wonderful speech was followed by Q&A session.
After the speech, Mahendra Vasani informed all present about the medical
camp to be carried out at Pragati School, Gorai on 7th Oct. During this
camp, school children will be given Hepatitis B injections. He invited all
Rotarians to extend their support for the project.
The meeting was adjourned after Secretarial announcement and Vote of Thanks.
